WE DUMBASSES SHOULD MAINTAIN OUR COLLECTIVE SUPIDITY (OR WE THE STUPIDEST MIGHT WANNA HANG TOGETHER IN OUR DUMBASSARY)
AT LEAST THROUGH NOVEMBER 6, 2018

Trump's Midas touch has infiltrated Utah's most senior and longest serving United States senator. Not only, as Senator Hatch claimed, will Mr. Trump be the greatest president in United States’ history, exceeding even the greatness of Washington and Lincoln, Senator Hatch is proving himself to be one of the most self-proclaimed superlative United States senators in the history of . . . well . . . Utah senators.
Both quotes below reveal Mr. Hatch's impeccable intellect, judgment and clear impulse control.
"Orrin is — I love listening to him speak. . . . . He actually once said I'm the greatest president in the history of our country, and I said, 'Does that include Lincoln and Washington?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'I love this guy.'"
"We finally did away with the individual mandate tax that was established under that wonderful bill called Obamacare. . . . Now, if you didn't catch on, I was being very sarcastic. That was the stupidest, dumbass bill that I've ever seen. . . . Some of you may have loved it. If you do, you are one of the stupidest, dumbass people I've ever met. . . . There are a lot of them up there on Capitol Hill from time to time."
If only Mr. Hatch would run for another term.
As stupid as progressive policies are to the greatest of our conservative intellectual giants, including Messrs. Trump and Hatch, we dumbasses might want to do our absolute best to coalesce and stay that way through November 6, 2018.
This past week, I posted an article from The Guardian Opinion, entitled The Democratic party is now publicly attacking progressive candidates, by Lawrence Douglas:
My comment about the article was, "'The Screaming Season' has begun. Whoever believes s/he will elect a candidate or group of candidates whose platform is perfectly consistent and aligned with her/his own is most likely a member of an increasingly smaller tribe within a tribe. Compromise within reason under a broader philosophy will, in my view, advance the principal precepts of that philosophy whereas eating one's own will simply end in continuing minority political status, regression and infighting."
While every national election is the most important national election in the history of national elections, the one coming up is a pretty big deal. In the interests of the United States regaining any credibility among its allies and enemies alike, and addressing the real existential crises facing the world (climate, geopolitics including Russia, a nuclear world), an abrupt sea change to reverse this downward spiral is critical. The incompetence, corruption, undermining of fundamental principles on which the United States has existed and progressed, wholesale violations of congressional oaths to protect and defend the Constitution and serve as an actual, meaningful check on the executive—all are unprecedented in my lifetime, and I lived through Nixon and the Cold War.
What say we stupidest dumbasses hang together on this one.
